Exchange of expertise and ideas in the Plant Science Colloquium

Methods of Plant Biotechnology are of key importance for basic research in plant sciences. They also greatly contribute to plant breeding and to addressing global challenges like climate change and population increase. The Faculty of Natural Sciences harbors various research teams active in the field of plant sciences, ranging from basic plant research to applied plant biotechnology and horticulture. ZAP is intended to integrate the know-how of these research groups and to initiate joint research initiatives. It also organizes the Plant Science Colloquium , where national and international speakers regularly contribute to provide scientific input.
